Terms of Service

The service

InferHood is a gateway. We accept your API request, route it to a third-party model provider, return the response, and meter the usage. We do not create the models, and the capabilities, availability, and output of any given model are determined by its provider.

Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for everything done with your account and API keys. Keys are shown once at creation and stored only as a hash, so treat them as secrets: keep them out of client-side code and public repositories, scope them narrowly, and revoke any key you believe has been exposed. Usage incurred by a leaked key is still your responsibility.

Access to the dashboard may require holding a minimum balance of the $INFER token. That requirement, and the amount, may change.

Credits and billing

• Requests are billed against a prepaid credit balance. Each request is charged the upstream provider cost plus our published margin.
• Charges are calculated from token counts reported by the provider, or estimated from delivered content where a provider does not report them.
• A request is refused when your balance cannot cover its estimated cost. Keeping a sufficient balance is your responsibility.
• Credits are for use of the service, have no cash value, and are non-transferable. Unless required by law, they are non-refundable.
• Pricing may change; we will give notice before increases take effect.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

• Break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights.
• Generate child sexual abuse material, or content that sexualizes minors, in any form.
• Create malware, or content intended to defraud, deceive, or impersonate.
• Harass, threaten, or target individuals or groups.
• Circumvent rate limits, quotas, billing, or scope restrictions, including by creating multiple accounts.
• Resell raw access in a way that disguises the origin of the service.

You must also comply with the usage policies of whichever model provider serves your request. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Your content and output

You keep whatever rights you hold in the prompts you send. As between you and us, you own the output returned to you, to the extent it is capable of being owned. You are responsible for confirming that your use of any output is lawful and appropriate.

Model output can be inaccurate, biased, or offensive, and identical prompts can produce different results. Do not treat output as professional advice, and review it before relying on it in any consequential setting.

Availability

We do not promise uninterrupted service. Upstream providers go down, deprecate models, and change behavior, and our own systems require maintenance. We may modify or discontinue parts of the service, and will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to it.

Termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law. Unused credits are forfeited on termination for breach.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, revising the date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
